The professional fee starts here and covers the whole journey: consultation, curated and off-market search and white-glove assistance through viewings, negotiation and closing. In parallel, we handle the bureaucratic groundwork before you need it: codice fiscale, bank account setup and every administrative step required to buy a property in Italy. We deal directly with the relevant offices, so you'll be ready the moment the right property appears. You pay for the outcome, never for hours.

Along the way, we developed deep local knowledge, trusted relationships and a network of professionals. That experience gave us an insider's understanding of the market—not just where to buy, but who to trust.

Then we met Bryan, a London-based executive, who experienced first-hand the problem of buying his own home in Udine: seller-side agents, byzantine paperwork, no single point of reference. Together, we realised the market didn't need another real estate agency. It needed someone on the buyer's side. He didn't just co-found Piazza Duomo. He invested his own capital in it.

How are you different from a real estate agent?

Traditional real estate agents are hired to sell properties. We are hired to represent buyers. Our role is fundamentally different. We don't start with a portfolio of properties to sell—we start with your goals. As your property advisor and buyer-side representative, we guide you through every stage of the journey: understanding your objectives, identifying the right locations, sourcing properties both on and off the market, coordinating viewings, introducing trusted legal and tax professionals, assisting with negotiations and due diligence, and remaining by your side long after the purchase. While buyer representation is well established in countries such as the UK and the US, it is still largely missing in Italy. Piazza Duomo was created to fill that gap by offering international buyers a single trusted partner throughout the entire process.

What does the professional fee cover?

Our professional fee is much more than property sourcing—it's a fully managed acquisition journey. Every engagement begins with understanding your objectives, lifestyle and investment strategy. From there, we build a tailored search, identify suitable opportunities, contact agents, owners and local partners, and actively source both on-market and off-market properties. We organise and coordinate every stage of the process. Whether you travel to Italy or prefer to remain abroad, we can arrange property tours, virtual viewings, meetings with professionals and ongoing updates, ensuring you always have a clear picture before making any decision. Throughout the process, we coordinate lawyers, notaries, tax advisors, surveyors, architects and any other professionals required, acting as your single point of contact and ensuring every step moves forward smoothly. Our role is to simplify a complex process, save you time, reduce risk and allow you to make informed decisions with complete confidence.

Can you handle everything if I can't travel?

Yes. We view on your behalf with video walkthroughs, and the purchase itself can be completed by power of attorney — without you setting foot in Italy until the keys.

Do you help after I buy?

Absolutely. Receiving the keys is not the end of our relationship—it's often the beginning. If your property requires renovation, we can introduce trusted architects, interior designers, general contractors and local professionals, helping coordinate the project from planning through completion. If your goal is to generate income from the property, we can manage the entire rental operation through OURBNB, including short-term and medium-term rentals, guest management, maintenance, dynamic pricing and ongoing property care.
